Folks’ forks is a product about catering services. the final consumer market planned for the project is mainly in Australian catering, The entire project is through remote online communication due to geographic factors
The program includes two mobile applications on the customer side and the merchant side.

THE CHALLENGES
Remote collaboration
Some detailed discussions on product design ideas cannot be answered in time due to the impact of time and space. But fortunately, the product requirements are roughly clear, so I will sort out my thoughts in advance based on understanding the big framework, and let the stakeholders understand the problems I encountered and the proposed solutions as much as possible within the limited communication time.
PROBLEM
Customer waiting long time for meal while in restaurant busy time
SOLUTION
Mobile order system allow customer self help when staff too busy to server them.

FEATURES-CUSTOMER SIDE
Folks’ forks merchant side is for restaurant merchants to manage their work basis, got authorization through complete required information. the modules include managing the daily orders of the restaurant. check turnover, staff management, event settings, and other work matters.
The customer side of Folks’ forks is for users to find their favorite restaurants for take-out, make reservations and on-site ordering services through their mobile phones.
Dining
The user scans the QR code on the table through the app to determine the table number, and then orders their own food through the mobile phone. The restaurant receives the table number and order information through the background to arrange the kitchen preparation and maintenance of the guest table
Takeaway
The user chooses a restaurant’s take-out service, selects the meal, and pays. In the subsequent delivery process, whether the food is delivered in a timely and effective manner is an important part of improving user satisfaction. Therefore, we set the order to be traceable and visualized. Tracking is to link users’ anxiety while waiting for a meal
Reservation
Enter the restaurant homepage through the homepage or event-related interface, the main services provided by the restaurant are here. The app is to make reservations and purchase tea products. Users can purchase tea directly or add tea artist services, To choose the service of a tea artist, the user needs to choose available time and private room
FEATURES - MERCHANT SIDE
We identify the priorities things in the merchant side is cope with the daily incoming orders in time, the orders notification was placed in the first place for noticeable once merchant login in the application

I’ve learned how to communicate with clients remotely, know well in the big picture about a product, and visualizing each thought process helps us communicate more efficiently.
Validation from users is crucial
Unfortunately, the part I take in this project without usability testing, which makes me sometimes not certain which design version would more satisfy user’s needs as there without user validation.
